Summer Plans: Vienna, then Las Vegas
A roundup of where you'll find us over the next couple of months
Some people spend their summers at the beach. We've done the threat modeling (what could go wrong: skin cancer, sharks) and conference halls just seem a better option. So we will be in Vienna and Las Vegas, talking about threat modeling and AI.
Before all the travel starts, we’ll be watching Tom Millar present Fighting Back Without Hacking Back: Why “Risk Management” Isn’t Enough In The Era of Cyber War. Adam won’t be there, but he was happy to contribute to the talk. The talk is on June 19 at FirstCon26 in Denver.
June: Vienna
Adam is heading to OWASP AppSec EU from June 22-26. Accompany him will be Erik, our senior consultant and one of our instructors. They’ll be delivering the Threat Modeling Intensive on June 22-23, then staying for the conference. During the conference, Adam will be doing a book signing for Threats: What Every Engineer Should Learn from Star Wars.
Michael Novack, AI Security & Safety Engineer at Cranium and an instructor in our new Threat Modeling AI Systems, is also at OWASP AppSec EU that week. On June 25, he is presenting the AI Explainability Scorecard and running his Cybersecurity Awareness Card Game. He is running it twice, which tells you something about how the first session tends to go.

Right on OWASP’s heels and a short walk away from it, ThreatModCon 2026 Vienna runs June 26-27. Adam will be leading a small group mastermind session, Layering defences: A new hope and joining the unkeynote. Both Adam and Erik will be available to connect.

August: Las Vegas
Black Hat USA runs August 1-6, and it is shaping up to be a full week. Adam and the team are delivering Threat Modeling Intensive with Complete AI August 1-4, and presenting Threat Modeling LLMs: The Phantom-B Model in the briefings. Kymberlee and others from the team will be in Las Vegas that week as well. We will share the full roster as details firm up.
