We’re pleased to share that Kymberlee Price has joined Shostack + Associates as our Chief Operating Officer.
Kymberlee has spent more than two decades in Application Security and community stewardship. Her work centers on contextualizing security as a facet of overall quality, clarifying system behavior, setting explicit expectations, and building trust across functions so that security becomes part of how design and implementation decisions are made instead of a gate applied after the fact. That approach reduces late-stage rework and avoids avoidable conflict between teams, helping organizations deliver steadier results to the customers who depend on them.
She has also contributed meaningfully to the broader security community. Through her service on the Black Hat USA, LocoMocoSec, and [un]prompted conference review boards and program committees, she has helped shape technical dialogue, mentor practitioners, and elevate emerging voices. That work reflects something we value deeply: security improves when people take the time to think carefully, ask better questions, and share what they learn.
As COO, Kymberlee will help us expand our services to more clients and new offerings beyond training. Her experience building structured, thoughtful practices will help us grow without losing the care and practicality that define how we work. We’re looking forward to what we’ll build together. Not something louder or flashier, but something more consistent, more deliberate, and more useful to the people who rely on us to learn better ways to sharpen how they design, evaluate, and deliver systems.
