Really don’t know what the fuss is about. Had my genitals touched (back of hand) by a security screener in the EU a number of years before this was initiated in the USA. I wasn’t offended. Especially as it was well before the underpant incident, indeed being interested in the security theatre I was quite impressed that the authorities had thought so dilligently to allow this to happen. I of course took an edwardian approach and let the security person at be. Not an issue for me. I’ll leave you with this thought “I’d rather have my nuts checked than be dead”
there is no empirical evidence that this sort of ‘security theater’ protects anyone from any dangers.
