Mister Anderson, please, lets not have any trouble.

  • Boulderdash says:

    Scary! Is that shit real?

  • Martien says:

Is that real? How do you function in society?

  • Grin says:

    YES, that is real.
The picture is satire, but it is based on fact.
    Google “Patriot Act”.

  • onlineanjali says:

This sounds awful… I hope this is not real…

  • Spanners says:

    Nice work 🙂
Now, if that were me, I’d have about ten thousand of those printed up (heck, now you’ve published, it’ll happen virally) and I’d be posting them through doors, with the right boxes checked, etc.
After all, if the other commenters are to be believed, it’s near enough to the mark that it might get some righteous outrage going.

  • onlinemeddler says:

Of course it’s not “real.” Jeez.
The real one includes the Department of Redundancy Department and under “inspect” has “stool sample” and “hair follicles.”
Oh, and in the “real” world …. you never get a notice.

IF ANY ONE THINKS FOR A MINUTE THAT OUR GOVERNMENT DOES NOT PARTICIPATE IN THESE SORTS OF INVASIVE PRACTICES THINK AGAIN, ITS JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THEY START ROUNDING US UP FOR THE NEXT STEP OF CONTROL!!! BEWARE, PREPARE YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY TO SURVIVE.

  • David Brodbeck says:

Wow, usually I have to go to YouTube to see a pile of comments this clueless. 😉

  • Thinker says:

If you’re in the UK, you can add:
    Collected __saliva __hair follicles

Wow, what a bunch of paranoids. If you think for a minute the goverment has the time and resources to investigate everybody you’re dreaming. 300 million people live in this country, I’m willing to bet there’s less than half a million federal agents so thats 600 citizens 1 man would be investigating. Oh wait a minute, I forgot, Libs don’t believe in reason, sorry.

  • chinatattler says:

    Brad misses the point:

The East German Stazi relied on friends, family, neighbours, co-workers to do the investigating and reporting. The Stazi just followed up after tips to do the arresting and torture.
Probably same thing happening in the US now every time you call 911 when you see an arab on a plane.

It is worse than many suspect. Federal law enforcement asked for one snoop per block who would report to a handler.

  • Michael says:

It is absolutely horrible (and frightening) that people can glance at this and have even a moments’s thought that it might be real. How the hell did this country get to the point of electing its own Hitler, who has started his own Gestapo? There are simply too many gullible (or moronic) American sheep.

  • patrick says:

The fact so many have asked whether the document was real goes to show the amount of stupidity in society, stupidity which leads to oppressive government and belief in any old shit which comes along

There’s probably been more serious debate within US politics about abortion than how legislation such as this affects civil liberties and privacy.
While it’s true that no government has the time, means or inclination to spend all it’s time spying on it’s entire populous, it would be naive to jump to the conclusion that it does not happen at all.

  • federal boobies inspector says:

Excuse me but this is not real. As a member of the FBI. This sort of thing will lead to wanted suspects leaving the country or going into mass hiding. How stupid can you be?

  • Stiff-assed Brit says:

Ok, calm people, calm! Can you not recognise the difference between:
    1) Making a point through a satirical exaggeration that US laws keep getting changed to make it possible for the state to invade your privacy and rights to an unjustifiable degree.
    2) Extrapolating this to astronomical proportions to conclude that the ‘Feds’ are actually using these rights to nick the body parts/products/fluids of every human in the USA with some evil plot to turn you all into stasi-esque drones?
This really is the most extraordinary post, and I’m starting to wonder if the ‘is it real?’ comments are a wind-up, in which case I have been fooled.
But assuming otherwise, here’s a word to the wise:
You have a stupid, power-obsessed, corrupt government that doesn’t give two hoots about anyone but their similarly connected friends. We have the same (on a lower budget) in the UK. But apart from the fact that your friends are also paranoid and own guns, you have nothing to ‘prepare yourself and your family to survive’ (unbelievable statement). You live in the USA. The worst thing to happen to you is likely to be your next tax return or a long line at the 7-11.

Oh, wait a minute, I forgot, Cons don’t believe in the First Amendment, sorry.

  • CJ says:

What? No…you mean there are people who can actually look at a clever little spoof pic like that and think it’s real? No wonder your country is fxxked. How sad.

  • Smarter_Than_All_Of_You says:

    John,
You’re going to have to explain how freedom of speech has anything to do with the amount of federal agents employed to spy on your stupid liberal ass.
Let’s analyze this. There have been two significant terrorist attacks by Islamic radicals since 1993 (remember the first attack on the towers?) and who knows how many sleeper cells still active in this country, and we’re supposed to believe that the security agencies charged with safeguarding even the lowest common denominator in this country have nothing better to do than listen in on your calls to 1900-sex-sheep and read your e-mail that you forwarded to 10 of your friends so that your hair wouldn’t fall out in ten minutes? Sheesh, get over yourself. You’re not even close to that interesting. For that matter, neither am I. And if some jerk off sitting at a listening station in Virginia wants to listen to me talking dirty to my wife because that’s the closest thing to action he’s going to see in this calendar year, then I not only feel sorry for the guy, but I wholeheartedly invite it. Finally, somebody who envies ME!!!
Ha, don’t be such a schmuck.
