Human Powered Blender

Nothing says “prepared for power outages” at your summer parties like a human powered blender, so you can crush that all ice into frothy goodness before it melts. And thanks to the wonders of capitalism, now you don’t have to build your own.

Starbucks is using these in some sort of marketing gimmick this summer.
REI has carried a much more compact alternative (http://www.rei.com/product/12351923.htm) for a couple years now. Nothing washes down that jerky and pemmican like a frozen margarita ;^)

There is a handy version of the same idea that you can buy at REIS (REIT? the outdoor outfitter). It’s a hand-cranked version that you can take with you when you go camping so you can make margaritas while you experience the beauties of nature. Come to think of it, this idea is even better. It makes the drink for you while you are pedalling up the hill!!
