Speaking of Ethical: Brad Feld on Philanthropy
I’d like to draw attention to venture capitalist Brad Feld’s post, “Doing Good By Doing Well:” [link to http://www.feld.com/blog/archives/2005/12/doing_good_by_d.html no longer works]
I’ve strongly encouraged my portfolio companies to incorporate “philanthropic activities” into their businesses early in their life. I don’t advocate any particular focus – I simply encourage founders and leadership teams to think about what they can do to make a difference.
I think it’s simply fantastic that an investor is saying ‘this is important enough to start on pre-revenue.’
