The Alexis Park ATMS are Perfectly Safe
Hackaday posts pictures in “defcon day 2 – don’t use the atm.” I don’t trust the ATMs at any Defcon haunt anymore, and was surprised to see a fellow I respect stick his ATM card into the machine at Hamburger Mary’s.
I do wonder if any of the well-dressed guys using the ATMs were adding honeytokens to the system. I sure hope so.
Lynne Coventry gave a very cool keynote at FC05 in which she discussed, among other things ATM fraud techniques. General chair Stuart Schecter gave her an award for helping to solve IFCA’s budget woes.
