More on 700 Arrests
Yesterday, I mentioned the 700 arrests [in the United States] in an attempt to deter terrorist activity. Also yesterday, several residents of The Hauge violently [link to http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5744,11360480%255E2703,00.html no longer works] objected when the police showed up to arrest them. This is a pattern in the arrest of Al Qaeda suspects: Some of them decide that shooting the police is the way to go. That it didn’t happen in the US arrests is not precisely evidence, but it is suggestive.
